Bryant furnace repair in Las Vegas typically runs $150 – $700 depending on the failed part, and most jobs are completed the same day we diagnose them. As an independent Bryant service provider, we repair every common failure on Bryant’s Evolution, Preferred, and Legacy furnace lines – and we hand you a written price before any work begins, not after. If you’re a Bryant owner in Las Vegas whose furnace is blowing cold air, short-cycling, or throwing an error code, this page tells you exactly what’s happening and what it costs to fix. Call (725) 726-3813 and a live person answers – 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
How Bryant Products Fail – and How We Fix Them
Bryant builds solid equipment, but certain parts fail in predictable ways. Here’s what we see most often on Las Vegas furnace calls, by model line.
- Evolution Series (987M, 986T): Failed gas valve solenoids. The Evolution line uses modulating gas valves that cycle open and closed constantly to maintain precise temperature. After 8 – 12 years, the solenoid windings weaken and the valve sticks partially open or won’t open at all. The furnace attempts ignition, fails, and throws a code 31 or 33 on the control board. We replace the gas valve with a Bryant OEM unit when the unit is under warranty, or a quality aftermarket equivalent when it isn’t – and we test gas pressure at the manifold before we leave.
- Preferred Series (926T, 925S): Hot surface ignitor cracking. The silicon nitride ignitors on Preferred two-stage furnaces sit directly in the burner flame path. Over thousands of cycles, micro-fractures form in the ceramic. The ignitor glows dim orange but won’t get hot enough to light the gas. We see this most often in Las Vegas because furnaces that sit idle through a long cooling season can develop condensation on the ignitor, which accelerates cracking on the first cold start. A replacement ignitor is typically a $150 – $280 job, parts and labor.
- Legacy Series (310A, 312A): Blower motor capacitor failure. The Legacy single-stage line is Bryant’s entry point, and the permanent split capacitor on the blower motor is the weakest link. When it fails, the furnace lights but won’t move air – you’ll hear the burners fire, then the high-limit switch shuts things down. We stock replacement capacitors on the truck and typically have this fixed in under an hour.
- All Bryant lines: Flame sensor buildup. Bryant flame sensors are a single rod sitting in the burner flame. Over time, silicon dioxide from combustion deposits on the rod and insulates it. The control board can’t confirm the flame is lit, so it shuts the gas off – usually three seconds after ignition. The fix is straightforward: we remove the sensor, clean it with a non-abrasive pad, and reinstall it. It’s one of the least expensive repairs on any Bryant furnace.
- Evolution and Preferred variable-speed models: Inducer motor bearing wear. Bryant’s variable-speed inducer motors ramp up and down to match burner demand. In dry Las Vegas air with fine dust, the sealed bearings can wear prematurely and the motor starts to whine or rumble at low RPM. If it’s caught early, we can often replace just the motor module. If it’s left alone, the inducer assembly fails entirely and you’re looking at a larger repair bill.

Our Bryant Furnace Repair Process
Every Bryant job follows the same sequence, whether it’s a Legacy 310A in Summerlin or an Evolution 987M out near Red Rock Canyon.
- 1
You call. A live person answers, takes your address and what the furnace is doing, and gives you a firm arrival window – not a four-hour range.
- 2
We arrive and listen. Before any tools come out, the technician asks what you observed, then pulls the error code history from the control board. Bryant boards store the last several fault codes, and that history tells us more than any guesswork.
- 3
We diagnose and write the price down. The technician identifies the failed part, explains it in plain English, and hands you a written price. Parts, labor, everything. That number doesn’t change at the door.
- 4
We repair with the right part. If the furnace is under Bryant’s parts warranty, we source the OEM replacement. If it’s out of warranty, we present the OEM option and a quality aftermarket option when one exists – and we’re straight with you about the trade-off.
- 5
We test, not just restart. We run the furnace through at least three full heating cycles, verify gas pressure, check temperature rise across the heat exchanger, and confirm the flame sensor is reading correctly.
- 6
You get the guarantee on paper. Every repair comes with the 365-Day Done Right Promise, written down before we leave. If the repair fails within a year, we come back and fix it at no charge.

Why Las Vegas Homeowners Call Cold Harbour Heating and Air Las Vegas for Bryant Work
Most people who call us have been burned before – a no-show, a door price that doubled, a repair that quit in three weeks. That’s why we put everything in writing. The Kingswell Way is our operating standard: say the price before the work starts, show up in the window we gave you, leave the job site cleaner than we found it, and put the guarantee on paper. Every Bryant repair is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it fails within a year, we come back and correct it at no charge. No argument, no fine print. Victor Mancini grew up working on residential and light-commercial systems across the Southwest, and our technicians are trained on nine major brands – so if your home has a Bryant furnace but a Carrier or Trane AC, one tech handles both. We’ve been doing this since 2003, and phones are answered by a live person around the clock.
FAQs
Bryant offers a 10-year parts warranty on most Evolution and Preferred furnaces if the unit was registered within 90 days of installation – if it was never registered, the parts warranty drops to 5 years. We check your serial number against Bryant’s warranty database before any parts are ordered, and we’ll tell you in writing what’s covered and what isn’t. Call (725) 726-3813 with your model and serial number and we’ll look it up.
Most Bryant repair calls in Las Vegas are scheduled same-day or next-day, and we hold the arrival window we give you. Phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, so you’re not leaving a message and hoping. If your furnace won’t light on a cold night, say so when you call and we’ll prioritize the dispatch.
If the repair cost is under about a third of a replacement furnace and the heat exchanger is intact, repair almost always makes sense – most Bryant furnaces have a 15 – 20 year service life. If the heat exchanger is cracked or the furnace is past 15 years and needs a major repair, replacement starts to pencil out. We’ll give you an honest answer, not a sales pitch. Estimates on either option are free.
We use Bryant OEM parts whenever the furnace carries active warranty coverage, because using non-OEM parts can jeopardize the manufacturer’s warranty. On out-of-warranty units, we present both the OEM option and a quality aftermarket option where one exists, with real numbers for each so you decide with full information.
Sometimes it can, but the error code history stored in the control board will tell us what actually happened. A furnace that overheated once may run fine afterward, or it may be a sign the heat exchanger is getting restricted. If your Bryant is showing codes, don’t keep resetting it – call us and we’ll read the fault history properly. That’s the difference between a $200 fix and a $700 fix that finds us instead of you.
